The Memorial Bird Bath

Picture

Ian Watts & Son Funeral Directors in Monmouthshire & the Forest Of Dean have now brought out a new granite memorial bird bath in addition to the huge range of memorial stones and grave vases they offer.  Finely crafted, the bird baths provide a beautiful and discreet receptacle to safely store the ashes of a loved one.  Jo Hume from Ian Watts & Son in Caldicot said, ‘so often, people are unsure when choosing what to do with the cremated remains of someone they held dear. Some like to scatter them in a poignant place and some prefer them to be interred in either a churchyard or cemetery but for those who want to keep the ashes near to them, the new memorial bird bath is a lovely option.’

The ashes are safely stored in the central column of the bird bath and a memorial plaque can be added or an engraved inscription on to centre of the birdbath itself.  If at later date, the family decide they do want to scatter the ashes, they can be removed from the column of the bird bath which can still be a lasting memorial in the garden.

They are available in a wide choice of shades and stand 29 inches high with a 15 inch square base. Prices vary depending on the shade chosen and start from £696 which includes engraving, delivery and erecting.  Just call 01291 420972 for more details or call into the Caldicot Funeral Home on the corner of the Avenue (near the West End Co-op Store) and see the bird bath in the Memorials Showroom.
